Tulsa Area Soccer Players to Watch – Presented by Soccer City Tulsa

Tulsa area soccer is loaded with talent. Every year a large group of players make their way to the college ranks. This season is no different. A large crop of seniors are headlining the list, but there are several underclassmen with big-time potential. 


Alex Garcia – Broken Arrow

Garcia is a three-year starter for the Tigers and a two-time All-District selectee. Garcia will take his talents to Tulsa University next fall. 

Tyler Broughton – Broken Arrow

Broughton was an All-District player for the Tigers last season and was named the Defensive Player of the Year. 

Josh Haney – Regent Prep

Haney may be playing at a small school, but he is a big talent. Haney has signed his letter of intent to play for Oral Roberts University next season. 

Grant King – Booker T. Washington

The Hornet standout will help Booker T. Washington win games this season before making the move to Rogers State University. 

Manuel Camarena – Webster 

Another Rogers State signee, Camarena is one of the top players in the area and someone to watch this season. 

Sebastian Hernandez – Broken Arrow

Hernandez grabbed All-District honors last year, catching the eye of coaches at Rogers State where he will continue his playing career next year. 

Kobe Ayers – Broken Arrow 

Ayers was named to the All-District team last year as a junior. He recently signed his letter of intent to play for USAO next year. 

Hector Dimas – East Central 

Dimas scored 10 goals and had six assists last year. He also scored in the state finals. The junior forward is one to watch from the class of 2020.

Katie Smith – Broken Arrow 

Katie Smith is one of the top players in the state and has signed her letter of intent to play at the next level for Texas A&M. 

Mia Kitterman – Jenks 

Kitterman is one of several players for the Trojans expected to play in college. The senior will play for Oral Roberts University next year. 

Cynthia Armas – Owasso 

Despite suffering an injury last year that sidelined her, the captain returns as one of the top players in Class 6A. Armas signed with Seminole College.

Ashton Gordon – Booker T. Washington 

Gordon is an electric player and fun to watch. Gordon has signed her letter of intent to play for Arkansas next year. 

Mary Olmos – Union 

Oklahoma Christian University is getting a good one in Mary Olmos. Look for her to help the Lady Redskins win a lot of games this season. 

Megan Haines – Jenks 

The future Oklahoma State athlete will look to finish her high school career by helping the Lady Trojans to the state tournament and beyond. 

Maddie Tokarchik – Bishop Kelley 

Only a junior, Tokarchik scored 17 goals with 24 assists in two years of play. She has signed with the University of Tulsa. 

Madeleine Barone – Bishop Kelley 

A forward for Bishop Kelley and one of the leaders on the team, Barone has signed with Loyola University in Chicago.
