Berryhill’s Tyler Davis – Boys Track Poll Winner Presented by OU Physicians

Berryhill senior Tyler Davis has been in track for about five years now, competing in the 100m dash and long jump. This season he focused all of his energy on the long jump. Although he enjoyed his final season competing for the Berryhill Chiefs, it didn’t have the conclusion he was hoping for.

“It went well but did not end how I would’ve liked it to,” Davis said.

In addition to track, Davis played football for the Chiefs as well. No matter what sport he was participating in, he appreciates the enthusiastic support of the Berryhill community.

“The best thing about competing in my high school community is that everyone is so supporting and will always encourage you to do your best,” he said.

Two of those constant supporters are Davis’ parents. He says that his parents are his role models, and he is grateful for their influence shaping him into the person and athlete he is today.

“What motivates me to be my best is my parents,” he said. “They have always taught me if you’re going to do something don’t hold anything back, in sports or academics.”

After high school Davis plans to attend Oklahoma State University and go on to pursue a career in sports medicine.
