OFFENSE

Head coach Brent Marley is excited for 2019. Riley Walker (5-11, 175, Sr.) is poised to have a huge year this season. Walker starts at quarterback again this season after throwing for 2,300 yards and 22 touchdowns last year. Walker is 23-3 as a starter for the Eagles. Nate Anderson (5-9, 200, Sr.) rushed for 90 yards last season on 11 carries, but as a freshman and sophomore, Anderson rushed for 300 yards each season. Now he’s looking to make an impact in a big way. Gage Barham (5-11, 170, Sr.) had 31 receptions for 485 yards and four scores. Inside receiver Cole Hill (5-6, 155, Sr.) had 21 catches for 255 yards a year ago. Caden Ward (6-2, 215, Sr.) at receiver is another productive player who accounted for 164 yards on 10 receptions. Hunter Jennings (5-10, 165, Jr.) toted the rock 36 times for 251 yards and four scores last year.

DEFENSE

A trio of linebackers leads the defense for the Eagles this season. Anderson, Zach Hair (5-10, 210, Sr.) and Clint Hurst (6-1, 225, Sr.) can be difference makers for the Eagles in the odd stack scheme. Ward is another outside linebacker who flies around the field making plays. Hill starts at corner and Duke Curtis (6-1, 200, Sr.) has one of the end spots locked up. Walker start at safety. “The Eagles are eager to begin a new chapter in (their) young life in OSSAA competition,” Marley said. “Through devotion, grit and love, we hope to become our best together.”
