Broken Arrow and head coach Beau Wallace returns three starters to the court this season. “Lots of players back that saw time on the floor as sophomores and freshmen last year,” said coach Wallace. “This team looks to rebound from a tough year that was filled with lots of injuries and disappointment. The depth of our team will be will be our strength as the season happens.” Caleb Stika (6-4, Sr.) will start at forward after averaging 6.0 points and 5.0 rebounds a game. Stika will play opposite Jaiell Talley (6-5, Sr.) who averaged 6.4 points and 5.0 rebounds as well. The two bigs will give the Tigers a presence in the paint. George McCurdy (6-1, Jr.) and Ian Golden (6-0, Jr.) are two guards to watch for the Tigers. McCurdy averaged 5.5 points and 3.2 assists while Golden went for 5.2 points and 2.0 assists as a sophomore. Jared Barnes (6-3, Jr.) is a combo player with the skill set to play forward or guard. Barnes averaged 3.2 points and 3.0 rebounds and is expected to see his production increase this season. Simon Blair (6-6, Jr.) is another big forward coach Wallace has this season. Blair is a 91 percent free throw shooter and averaged 3.1 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest last year. Another player to watch includes Cody Nagy (5-10, Jr.) who averaged 7.0 points and 2.5 assists last year at guard. Keep an eye on Anthony Allen (6-4, So.), Ajani Jamison (6-5, So.), Aaron Johnson (6-3, So.), Seth Dodd (6-0, Jr.) and Marion Horn (6-0, So.). The coaching staff will include Mike Humphrey, Keary King, Chris Wallace and Evan Drake.

After a productive summer, head coach Mike Dooney is looking forward to getting the action started this year with two returning starters and a roster full of hard working players looking to make their mark on Tiger basketball. “Our kids worked very hard all summer,” said coach Dooney. “Had a lot of growth and we believe that they’re ready to take another step towards turning our program back around.” That first step is being taken by senior Hannah Duin at forward. Duin may be the only senior in the starting lineup for the Lady Tigers. She is joined by Jad aHytche (Jr.), Kelsey Duffey (Jr.), Makayla Adams (Jr.) and Denym Sanders (Jr.). The lineup features a lot of quickness and players willing to get back on defense and lock down teams. April Duff (Sr.) will figure into the overall scheme and could that the all-important sixth man this year. Other players to watch include Tea Myers (Jr.), Taleyah jones (So.), faith Zackery (Sr.), Abby Jones (Jr.), Cami Harger (Jr.) and Ruth Folly (Jr.). The coaching staff consists of Phillip Hadley, Jimmie Walker, Courtney Cowan, and Amber Mathurin.
